'street art with a personal touch'

I've always liked the whimsy, colour, and 'handmade-ness' of 'Yarn bombing'. I find it touching that people take the time to customise their public space and soften the hard greyness of the cityscape. The trees in the Melbourne City Square recently got 'bombed' and it seems from the labels attached that this is Council-sanctioned rather than guerilla in nature.
